Biography

Marie-Adeline HENRY begins to study music very early with Violin, the piano and the doublebass.She begins her vocal’s studies at 16 with Madame Florence, she continues with Irène Jarsky and Maryse Castets which prepares her to enter at the Atelier lyrique of the Opéra de Paris. She is a member of it from October 2005 to June 2008. During her study, she sings the roles of Vincenette (Mireille - Gounod) Cupidon (King Arthur- Purcell)Contessa( Nozze di Figaro - Mozart )….She Does the master class of Rachel Yakar, Natalie Dessay, François Leroux, Christiane Eda-Pierre, Jose Cura….At  the Atelier lyrique she participates to the Atelier Gluck singing Armide and Eurydice, she sings the role of Fiordiligi (Cosi fan tutte), Female Chorus (The rape of Lucretia - Britten), Helena (A midsummer night’s dream – Britten)….in parallel she sings Mélisande at Montpellier, Abigail Williams (The Crucible of Robert Ward) at the Dicapo Theater of New York and in Hungary at Pecs and Szeged. After The Atelier lyrique, she sang again the roles of Fiordiligi with Jean-Christophe Spinosi at Brest, and Eurydice at The Opera de Rennes, she was Diane (Hippolyte et Aricie – Rameau) with the Reisopera of Holland, Braghien (Le vin herbé – Franck Martin) in Lyon, Lisa (La Sonnambula – Bellini) at the Opera Bastille, la femme du forgeron/la Princesse (Faust – Fenelon) at the Opera Garnier….

Very interested in concert’s repertoire, Marie-Adeline HENRY sings regulary early music pieces, like “tempo e tempi” – Carter, “Die Serenaden” and “Die Melancholie”    Hindemith, “Quatuor et voix N°IV” – Fenelon. She sings Oratorios too: la petite Messe solennelle - Rossini, “Lobgesang” – Mendelsohn, “Requiem” – Haydn….In Competitions, She won the Second Price at the concours de Beziers, the Special price at the concours des Amis du Grand Théâtre de Bordeaux, the second price at the concours de Nantes, and the 3rd price at the Geneve’s singing Competition. Soon she will sing Polinessa (Gesualdo- Dalbavie) in Zürich, Mélisande at the Opera de Rennes, Fiordiligi at the Capitole de Toulouse, Micaela in Santiago de Chili, Contessa at Avignon and Massy….
